It's hard to complain about these at this price. They let you economically mic everything in your kit (I combined a DK707 and a DK705) and provide good enough sound, after some EQ, to sound quite good in a mix. I -might- replace the Samson I am using for the top of the snare with an SM57, but the same type of Samson I have on the bottom of the snare sounds amazing. I actually have three sets of these same C02 condensers now and I am happy with them in every application I'd tried. Bottom line: If you know what you are doing, you can make these work pretty well. If you don't know what you are doing, spending more isn't going to help you much anyway.

Great value. Ended up the 3 tom mics and 2 condenser as overheads while replacing the kick with a shure beta 52, sm57 on snare top and sm7b on snare bottom. Fantastic setup. Definitely recommend.

I can't think of a better kit to buy for the Price. The C02 might be the best mics Samson makes, then you get 5 additional mics for the rest of the kit. I used the 2 overheads, 2 toms, snare and the kick mics on a Gretsch Catalina maple kit. I tune the kit deep and warm. As far as the sound I was looking for, it sounds great on each individual drum. To brighten the overall sound, you may mix in more of the overheads, the condensers are crisp.

In our Church my daughter who plays the drums suggested we purchase a set of drum mics, we did so and I wish we could have done so couple of years ago, we now can hear the keyboard and the drums. We are very, very pleased.
