Great mic. I only intended using it in kick drum but I like it better on floor tom and bass cabinet.

This is a great microphone. The Electro Voice RE20 has always been the broadcast industry standard. I plan on using mine for radio production and for vocals and acoustic guitar in my studio. And I want to add that the staff at Sam Ash are really good!

Sam Ash staff were so helpful in assisting me decide on the best microphones for my podcast & you tube channel. It's an interview show so I need two identical mics that I could run through my RODEcaster Pro unit & have them be easy to set-up, use and not interfere of compete with each other. I tried 2 mics prior and they [Sam Ash] let me come back in and exchange them for these RE20's which I must say, certainly do live up to their reputation. The tone and quality of recording is so superior to my earlier $100 mics. I find I still need a pop filter, and I wish the mic was 'prettier' - since this is a you tube show too (called EXTRAORDINAIRES Podcast, please do follow! :-) the mic's bland grey appearance is what kept me away originally - yep, I know. But maybe I'll bling it out someday and then I'll have the perfect sounding podcasting microphone, fas well as the perfect mic for video! I highly recommend the RE20 and SAM ASH!

I was looking to upgrade my live stream microphone because my current one had too much background noise and distortion and after a lot of research, I decided to go with the RE20. I have a voice that would be considered "bass" and I love how the RE20 accentuates that part of my voice. It is no wonder that the RE20 has been the industry standard for broadcasting for decades.

I had no doubt this product would satisfy. I already have an RE-320 and have heard broadcasts and recordings which employed its predecessor, the well-renowned RE-20 - it holds a well-deserved repute within the media community. Not only did I get a great deal by calling in as suggested by an advertisement, but the RE-20 arrived quickly, and when it did, I was setting up a session, so I put it to work immediately. As expected, adding this mic to a widely used vocal chain on a rock tune yielded exactly the results we sought. Thanks Electro Voice and Sam Ash!!
