The C214 professional large-diaphragm condenser microphone has been designed as a cost-effective alternative to the high-end C414 family. Like the C414, the C214 offers a supreme one-inch capsule on an integrated suspension to reduce mechanical noise. A switchable 20 dB attenuation pad allows recording of loud sources of up to 156 dB SPL. A switchable bass-cut filter allows close-up recording with almost no proximity effect. The C214 captures sound by combining one capsule of the legendary C414 dual-capsule system and the patented AKG Back-Plate Technology, resulting in an outstanding performance close to the famous C414 XLII.

I would buy this product again!

This things works like a Mic at 10X its cost. Incredible performance for the money.

My one and only condenser microphone.

I bought this as it was well recommended by a friend of mine that sings at a pro level. I run a youtube channel and do a lot of voice work for the videos. This mic was a monumental improvement over the mic I was using before. It captures a perfectly colored voice and requires no post editing. My only gripe is that it is so sensitive that I realized how noisy my home is to record. It actually picked up my cat and dog play fighting outside. Besides that, this mic is just awesome.

Great warmth and presence from this beauty..

i believe this will be a long term relationship

heavy duty dynamic vocal machine i'm in love with this mic

Thia mic is a very nice mic. It's very sensitive but the sound from it is awesome!!!

My new go-to large diaphragm condenser!

The 214 is such an amazing and clear sounding condenser! First session I used it on EVERYTHING and it absolutely rocked it. Acoustic guitar, vocals, drum overheads, and room tone, this mic can handle just about anything. The shockmount it comes with is really nice and the volume pad and lo cut are super useful. This mic is a must have for any recording studio!

a crisp, clear sound for a range of uses

I use this mic at work (I do voice-overs) and just love it. It's got a warm, crisp sound, with very low noise. I find, with the right placement, I do very little post-production touch-ups - a bit of EQ (but that's because of my VOICE, not the mic), and slight compression. I was quite surprised to find out how inexpensive it is. I'm looking to get one for recording music - seems like a good drum AND vocal mic!
