Highly recommended, great buy
First time buying a compressor mic. I use it to record a classical vinyl string guitar and some vocals. Great and clear sound . Highly recommended as a starting mic .

This condenser mic seems to be operating as advertised. However, I would like to mention that the microphone seems to record very treble centered audio. It does not capture bass notes as well unless you get much closer. I know this is expected, but I was thinking I wouldn't have to be on top of the mic to get more bass response. Maybe I'm just not used to recording with it yet.

EXCELLENT Microphone for the price. I use it for anything requiring my voice - whether that be singing or just talking and it provides for professional results with very little post-processing required. I use it with my Scarlett 2i2 on 48V phantom power and have only received complements on the projects I have carried out with this one.

Quiet is the name of the game with this True Condensor microphone. If your recording in an area that has too much low frequencies you'll be able to turn it off with is low pass filter adjustment. Condenser quality and nothing but you coming thru, AKG has you back, as well as Sam Ash!

This is a great mic for recording musicians of all levels. It can be used to record great vocals, punchy drums, miking pianos, or as an overhead mic for drum kits. The reason it is so versatile is because of its high SPL capability. No matter what you are recording, though, you can rest assured that the end result will be a nice clean sounding recording ready to go on your next album! And with an all metal body, you are ensured a long life to use on projects for years to come. This is a real hands on product review by Steve at Sam Ash Music in Lyndhurst, OH.

Great large diaphragm mic for vocals guitar and even brass. Warm clear sound and can handle up to 155 decibels of SPL. The bass cut filter gives you a lot of control over your sound when you are recording something from a loud source. Great for home studios.

Just because you are on a budget doesn't mean you have to give up on getting a pro sound. Does it sound like the best mic ever? No, but it isn't trying to. It's just a very honest mic. It's like an old friend. It tells you when you aren't performing your best, but it IS a friend, so it will compliment you where it can. Details don't disappoint, just like AKG shows. You will be hard pressed to find a better quality mic in this price range.
