Let me start by stating that this is an excellent instrument. Back in the '60s, Vox produced electric guitars with 9 strings: the D-B-E strings were doubled and the E-A-D were single. A buddy had one, and I loved the various sounds it would give up. An acoustic version [okay, an electric-acoustic] is a great option given the wide range of music offered in today's venues. This guitar sounds full and rich, far better than the price might imply. The neck is decent, and it stays in tune, although I will put better strings on it at my first opportunity. My gripes simple: the pair of sound holes on the top side blowing my music right up into my face and tuning pegs that feel as if they'll break if I twist them even one more time. I'll be replacing them soon, too. Still, for the price, this is a no-brainer.
