For some time, I was in the market for a 5 string bass, after some debacles with a 4-string bass, primarily forgetting to re-tune the bass after lowering the tuning to get some lower notes. For me, that was the indicator of needing a 5-string. After playing some 5-string basses on the wall in the past, I thought I'd found the one that was available, until one day I found this bass, played it for the first time, and man, it sounds fantastic, I had finally found my holy grail, and ever since then, I've been dying to get my hands on one. This bass is absolutely incredible, the body shape, which is based on a Jazz bass, is comfortable and easy to get used to, a very simple control layout of volume, pickup balancer, and two EQ active preamp with switch, you can get a lot of different sounds out of it. Acoustically, it resonates off the body really well, the hardware feels great, its durable, and well made, the pickups sound awesome, the neck feels great, just a great profile for every style of music. Mark was the one that recommended me this bass after playing with it for a while, and before I left to a retreat with the full band, made the decision to get it, he was very helpful through the process, and ever since then, I've not been able to put it down, it sounds great live, and for practicing at home, and rehearsals, it covers a lot of ground. I will most definitely recommend this to anyone who is in the market for a jazz style 5-string that won't break the bank, but will cover all the ground available. Also, huge thanks to Mark for helping me in my process of getting it, because it's really a great sounding bass, and I dont know what I've would've done if I hadn't picked it up in the first place. Trust me, you won't regret it.
