Each striking color option for this guitar is designed specifically to maximize the appearance of the beautiful Birdseye burl maple top over the Korina body. The black hardware allows the exotic wood and custom color combination to really pop. This is a head-turning guitar that has the tone to back up its good looks with Quad Mod electronics, as well as excellent playability via the comfortable fretboard.

Beautiful Burl Maple Top Over the Korina Body
The Birdseye burl maple top on the Burl 60 Ultra will catch your eye, but wait until you play it! Fun, versatile, smooth, and bold are some of the words that players have used to describe their take on the Ultra. The all-Korina body is lightweight but has a thick tone, akin to a fine piece of mahogany. The burl top/Korina body combination delivers articulate highs and lots of guts in the lows and mids.

Quad Mod Electronics
The Quad Mod gives you the traditional three-position tonal performance, while adding a valuable 4th pickup setting. This added tonal option turns on both neck and bridge pickups in series which is a thick and punchy tone much like a humbucker. However, considering the two coils are located in completely different locations on the guitar, the tone is as unique as it is useful and a welcome addition to the standard two single coil pickup configuration.

Comfortable Fretbboard
Atop the maple neck is a 10.5" to 16" compound radius fretboard that provides excellent playabilty particularly in the higher register past the 12th fret.

Nice guitar came out of box great ,sounds great too and great price.

Fast safe delivery. Beautiful Guitar. Highly recommended.

Amazing Guitar and an Unbeatable Price!!!

First t-style I've ever played and also my new fav guitar. Looks amazing and plays even better. Super smooth neck and wonderfully smooth and rounded frets. Had to do a minor first time setup out of the box to get rid of some buzz. To be expected though and was fixed within 5mins.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this guitar. Most of the online reviews are very positive. I purchased this as a modification platform. The pickup cavity is such that you can set up different pickup combinations. I went with this one vs their nashville style just based on preference in looks. The looks and feel of this guitar are outstanding. I've had guitars ranging from $130 to $1300 and this feels as solid as any of the more expensive ones. The hardware is solid. The four way switching is nice at this price point. The stock pups have a darker tone than a standard tele. The neck is probably my favorite part. It is fantastic and feels buttery smooth. The classic bridge plate is the only thing i'm not a fan of. I am looking forward to making my mods to it.

Michael Kelly Burl 50 Ultra Natural

I bought the natural finish Burl 50 Ultra and it's pretty much everything I've ever wanted in a guitar since I knew I loved guitar (got my first guitar in 1988). The finish is unreal. The guitar looks simply incredible. The frets are rolled and crowned wonderfully. The MK pickups are just about perfect for me: very clear and chimey but not overly hot, and they have that nice squawk and spank you'd expect from a Tele. The setup, out of the box, was fine but I needed to adjust the intonation slightly. If I had a complaint, it would be that the tuning machines are just ok. Overall 5/5 - Would absolutely buy another Michael Kelly guitar.

These are really worth trying.

An awesome guitar for your money. I didn't think much of Michael Kelly's guitars until I picked one up. The craftsmanship was great. The neck felt smooth and easy to play. And it's sound competes with the big brand guitars.

Would buy same brand, but with different pickup mount.

Good sound. Nice action on frets. Caveat is the plate where the the bridge pick up is located is bent up on the sides. Because of this, its possible to inadvertently hit with pick when strumming. This can be very annoying.

All is well

If there's a blemish, I did not find it. Good action, intonation is right, comfortable to play. Can't quite put my finger on tone, it's pretty good.

This guitar just feels and plays beautiful

This Tele replica plays and sounds as good as any costing twice the price Sam ASh was selling them for. Iam thinking that there being sold as a blemish restock because the price was way less than 1/2 off? Other than 1 high fret the guitar was perfect. Came just about perfectly set up right out the box. My other two high end guitars havn"t seen mush playing time since I got it.

Unbelievable quality and tone, at a ridiculously low price!

This is my second Michael Kelly telecaster (the other is the DB53) and both of them are great. Easily as good a quality as my Fender Jim Adkins. When you consider the price, it is simply unbelievable. Great tone, great looks, and it came set up perfectly. After riding in a truck or plane and sitting in a warehouse, it came in tune. I could not believe it. When I hit my first chord, I thought it sounded in tune so I turned on the tuner, and it was. The looks are great, and the extra switch position is fun. Maybe it is my ear, but the fourth position sounds like the bridge pickup, and the third position sounds like the out of phase combination. But my ear is not so good so I am probably wrong. If you like telecasters or just want a great guitar, buy this. I have 3 Michael Kelly guitars (the 3rd is an acoustic) and these are highly under-rated guitars. Buy one and you will see what I mean. If I was stranded on a desert isle with one guitar and an amp, I would be happy with either of the telecasters!
