The Meinl Subwoofer Jumbo Bass Cajon with Walnut Frontplate features a forward projecting sound port and an internal reflex channel in place of the traditional rear facing port. This results in an enhanced bass tone with tons of projection. It's particularly desirable for live or unplugged situations where the bass notes usually get drowned out by the other instruments. The Walnut frontplate guarantees that even though this thing is designed to enhance the low end of the instrument, it certainly isn't lacking when it comes to sharp, pronounced articulation.

Get your Meinl Subwoofer Jumbo Bass Cajon with Walnut Frontplate from Sam Ash Direct today. With fast, free shipping at the guaranteed lowest price, the security of our many decades of experience, and the Sam Ash Direct 45/60 day return/price protection policy, you can’t possibly go wrong!

Best Sounding Cajon I've heard

This is an amazing Cajon, and the fast friendly service at Sam Ash was amazing, along with good price, and free shipping, great deal!

One of the best purchases I've ever made.

I was looking for a simple cajón so I could start experimenting with putting drums on my acoustic guitar recordings...it's not exactly your typical singer/songwriter ~singing about your feelings~ stuff; the heavy hip hop and Latin American influences called for something heavier. I went to the store to pick up something simple, expecting to have to buy something substandard with an sound output that I'd have to edit in post...but I stumbled upon this cajón on sale, and even though it was ~4x as much as I'd planned on spending, it revolutionized my highest expectations. Had to buy it on the spot. Been a performing acoustic artist for years, and I've neither heard of nor seen cajóns that sound this powerful and definitive. Great for western dance music, things with a heavy beat. Has an incredible kick. The recording experience has been fantastic—I just place the mic in front of it. I wish I'd had it sooner, but I'm just glad they had one left in the store.

Es very good very nice

"Best Cajon I've Ever Played"

I purchased this cajon as a gift for my fiancé. He is very particular about sound, and was a little worried about the plastic body. However, he was thrilled once it arrived, and I have not once heard him complain about the lack of resonance in the body. He was so pleased with the sound of the front plate that nothing else mattered. The front plate was made of a gorgeous marbled walnut, and the sound is beautiful. We are very satisfied with this purchase, especially for the price!

Love it!

Love it! My first cajon, but I've played a few and the sound of this one is perfect. Great tone, perfect bass, good snare...works well with the Meinl kick pedal as well.

A ton of Low End!

This thing has so much more low end than most cajons I've used. Even better when you use the "kick pedal" attachment available to purchase separately.

Great shop

Very nice

Fun fun fun

Great cajon... bass is enormous!

The perfect Cajon for Bassheads like me

I purchased this cajon for traveling gigs and local events in which I can't bring my entire drum kit, but still want to be able to create driving beats and hear the low end! First time I sat on this Cajon, I was thrilled at the natural subwoofing sound that it boasts about. You really CAN feel it. When properly mic'd this cajon sounds great in larger situations as well as small unplugged ones. I enjoy the larger box for my sitting pleasure, and the handle on the back helps you carry it around. The only challenging thing is mic-ing it. Since the sub hole is at the bottom, you have to have a proper kick mic stand to get a mic that low to the ground without getting in the player's way. Otherwise, it's a great cajon, and will probably be the only one I ever own.

My Favorite Cajon!

This cajon is amazing! Of all the cajons in our store, this one projects bass frequencies in a way that no other cajon can. I always have my customers stand on the other side of the room to show how well the bass carries, and it's night and day when compared to other models. Not to mention the quality that Meinl puts into their products, this instrument is very well built and very durable. joe @ store 57- Indianapolis, IN
