ive been playing drums for 10 years now. my recent band was having our first show so i needed crash cymbals asap, so i had seen these online and went to my nearest sam ash and tested them out, bought them and put it on my kit. the sound of the 14" crash is not as good as i thought it sounded at the store, it has a fast response, but no delay after, it ends quick, kinda flat sounding, but it has its own lil effect to it. as for the 18" crash nice sound to it, i like my crashes to have a long dely and sound semi trashy, but still a bright sound to it, and thats what this cymbal has to it. all in all good cymbals for drummers on a budget like myself, i'd say a good buy.
