My five star rating starts with Sam Ash. Nobody else had this guitar and before I placed the order they made sure the guitar was in stock for me. Delivered in a day! This was gift for my daughter and she really loves the guitar. I am a guitar player and the OMC-X1E is very light and very comfortable to play. To me the sound is well balanced and you get that Martin "fullness." No its not solid wood, but the HPL is very durable. I particularly like the neck which is made of Richlite. Nice guitar for the price. Even the soft case is high quality.

This is my first Martin guitar but I've played several over the years. I've always wanted one. I didn't want to shell out a ton of money right now and set a budget of $500 for a new acoustic. The expert reviews on this were very good so I started shopping and Sam Ash had the best deal for me. This is a brand new Mexican made martin, but it is still a Martin all the way... it is very well made, plays better than a lot of much more expensive guitars I've played and sounds amazing. I wanted an OM body style since I'm not a huge fan of the dreadnought bodies, and this guitar is the perfect balance of size and rich tones. For the price range I'm not sure you're going to find a better acoustic guitar on the market.
