The Martin DRS1 Acoustic-Electric Guitar delivers classic Martin tone and quality at an extremely affordable price.

The Martin DRS1 Acoustic-Electric Guitar is distinguished by its all-solid sapele construction. The solid sapele top produces a unique, strong tone that is warmer than spruce and is versatile enough to take on different styles of playing. Sapele possesses a similar aesthetic and tone as mahogany; which makes it a natural choice for finger picking, flat picking, or playing bottle-neck country blues. The Martin DRS1 will deliver the tone you are looking for.

The neck is carved from select hardwood into Martin's comfortable Performing Artist profile featuring their ergonomic High Performance taper. The belly bridge and fingerboard are made of FSC Certified richlite that achieves a similar look to ebony. This is an extremely durable material and offers an environmentally sound alternative to ebony. For live performances, the Martin DRS1 comes equipped with the Fishman Sonitone electronics. Comes complete with a protective hardshell case.

Stunning

This guitar is an absolute work of art. If you are looking for a solid guitar, made to be a lifetime investment, at an actually reasonable price, this is the one. Sapele wood is beautiful, tone is rich, with that Martin sound, action is light, it just WANTS to be played. Join the Martin club and you won't regret it. You don't need to spend thousands for a guitar that sounds like you did. Note* I'm not sure if it's a temporary production situation or permanent, but my DRS1 came with a solid neck, and was made in the Nazareth, PA factory. (Awesome x 2)

Another winner from Martin

5

Martin has been known for having some of the best acoustic guitars out there in the market and the DRS1 is a great example that you don't have to spend over $1000 to get a good acoustic. Solid Sapele top, back and sides lends itself to a gorgeous tone for finger picking (especially with the top being Sapele versus the normal Maple that most acoustics use). A nice plus is that this is one of the few guitars under $1000 that comes with a hardshell case. If you can afford it, snag this up quick.

Great value Martin guitar!

5

This is a fantastic Martin guitar for anyone who gigs consistently or just wants to jam in the living room. For less than a grand you get a beautiful sounding and looking guitar with an official Martin hardshell case that fits it like a glove. The neck is easy to play and the Fishman pickup sounds incredible, I can't get enough of the tone on this one. It's definitely worth the price by far.

Fantastic Acoustic/Electric Guitar

5

Starting things off, I love this guitar. The finish has a classy look and the sound is great. It has a rich, warm tone and the sound is consistent from a strictly acoustic setting to an amped up performance. I'm a bit of a larger guy and the guitar sits very comfortably when I play. And the Fishman preamp built into the soundhole works great for on the fly adjusments. A must for anyone looking for an amazing guitar for a reasonable price.

Solid, Versatile and under 1K!

5

This beautifully designed, visually appealing and distinguished guitar from the Martin company is everything you'd want and expect from one of the most prominent names in guitar manufacturing. The solid top projects sound without the player having to try so hard and evokes a warm, rich tone due to the sapele. This guitar is ultra comfortable to play and comes complete with Fishman technology which is always reliable. This would be a great guitar for any folk, or finger picking aficionado .

Great Acoustic But Not A USA Martin

4

I really like this guitar. It plays very well. The frets are perfect. The sound is amazing. However, I was very disappointed when I saw that it was not made in the USA. I realize this isn't a $2000+ Martin but it's not peanuts either and it should be labeled!

Awesome Guitar!

This guitar replaced my Gibson Song Maker Acoustic. HAPPY I PULLED THE TRIGGER. This guitar comes set-up perfect, and the Sapele sounds very deep and rich. Nicer than many guitars I have owned in the 2 to 3K price range. The fit and finish is amazing, and the true surprise comes when you plug it in. BUY IT...YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
