Perfect for the budding rocker, the Epiphone Les Paul SL Electric Guitar is the most affordable, dual-pickup Les Paul ever made!

The Epiphone Les Paul SL Electric Guitar is the most affordable, dual-pickup Les Paul ever made, making it the ideal choice for the budding rocker!

Featuring a slim, lightweight single-cutaway poplar body and a fast SlimTaper bolt-on neck with a classic 24.75" scale length, the Epiphone Les Paul SL is incredibly comfortable to play and hold, and will feel right at home in your fretting hand.

Equipped with a pair of great-sounding Epiphone single-coil pickups, the Les Paul SL offers incredibly sonic versatility that makes this guitar a great choice for a wide range of genres and playing styles. The 650SCR neck pickup is great for rhythm playing, while the slightly overwound 700SCT bridge pickup is perfect for lead and solos. The ceramic magnets used in the pickups were made to deliver tight lows, smooth mids, and slightly more pronounced trebles, which makes them ideal for heavier genres like hard rock or metal.

Chrome Epiphone-designed hardware includes an adjustable, intonated "Wrap Around" stopbar bridge along with a set of accurate premium 14:1 ratio tuners. Additional appointments include Epiphone's signature  "Clipped Ear" headstock design, a vintage-inspired "Bell-Shaped" truss rod cover, a '60s-era Epiphone logo, and a special 2017 Edition logo on the back of the headstock.

better than any midprice guitar

from Newtown pa

Great little guitar to play rock and blues on. I got the yellow which is way cool. Change the strings and lower the action. And it plays like a dream.

I wanted something that had a true single coil sound. Iplay RGs, dinkys, and soloists that allhave an over the top sound. This cuts tenure with no issue.

Plays better than many mid line axes out there

Buy it you wont regret m

Retro cool Epi SL - Buy it

I have been waiting to buy the Epiphone SL since August. I had placed an order with the largest music center in the U.S. but they kept on backordering the guitar so I finally decided to purchase one from Sam Ash because they had them in stock. Just got the guitar today and I am really pleased with it. I had read some reviews on Youtube that were very critical of the guitar but here is what I have found with mine. First, the yellow paint is glossy, very striking and has no imperfections. If you run your hand along the neck the frets don't cut your hands to ribbons and are relatively smooth. I checked each fret for any potential fret buzz and there are none. The factory setup is pretty darn good with the action being low and so easy to play. I changed out the strings as the ones they come with are the factory ones and they are sticky and not good. I tested the intonation on the guitar and it's spot on so the wrap around bridge works well. The neck is fast and makes playing the guitar fun and easy. The serial number is embossed in the back of the headstock unlike other Epi products where they are stencilled on. The pickups have a unique sound and the switch moves smoothly between the pickups. The pickguard is firmly attached with the screws to the body of the guitar and so no visible gaps.
All in all, this is a fantastic guitar for the money and I would rate it up there with higher priced guitars on the market. The design of the pickguard is very retro and so it's a winner in my book.
If you want a playable guitar for little money and with a great retro look and a good sounding guitar then this is for you. Buy it - you won't be disappointed.
