So, it's larger than the wood reeds and that takes some practice getting used to. I'm sure it's easier for a seasoned player, but for a beginner it may not be, as in our case. However, that's probably the only "negative" thing I can say about it. It's durable, there's no wait to play and it can be cleaned. I'm hoping our sax player gets the hang of it, I can see it costing WAY less than having to replace reeds so many times!
