Supplies: Students are responsible for purchasing their own music supplies as needed on the recommendation of the teacher. All students are required to have an instrument and to have paid their Registration Fee.
Signing Up: There is a one-time $25 non-refundable Registration Fee due upon signing up for lessons.
Lesson Fees: The price of a lesson varies depending on the length of the session (1/2 hour or 1 hour) and the student’s level (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced).
Paying for Lessons: The lessons are sold in a 4-lesson block. Students purchase a Sam Ash Gift Card in the amount of the 4 lesson total and pay with the gift card for each individual lesson.
Using the Gift Card: Before the scheduled lesson, the student presents the Gift Card to a Sam Ash sales associate. A receipt for the lesson charge is written using funds available on the Gift Card. The receipt is presented to the teacher as proof of payment for the lesson.
Purchasing More Lessons: As described above, lesson payments are deducted from the Gift Card weekly. In order to reserve your day and time slot for future lessons it will be necessary to purchase another 4-lesson block Gift Card. We suggest that you purchase your next 4-lesson block when you come for your fourth lesson.
Cancellations: Teachers or students must give 24 hour notice of cancellation. If a student cancels, the lesson must be rescheduled for later that week. If a teacher cancels, we will try our best to provide a substitute teacher if the student wants his or her scheduled lesson. If not, the lesson will be rescheduled. NO SHOWS: If a student does not give 24 hour prior notice and fails to show up for a scheduled lesson, the student will be charged for the missed lesson. Emergency cancellations will be handled on a one-on-one basis.
Discontinuing Lessons: To discontinue lessons we ask for a 30-day notice so we can reset our schedules. Remaining funds on the Gift Card can be used as store credit. Sorry, no refunds.
