The Kramer Baretta Special Electric Guitar is the perfect addition to your hard-rock arsenal at an extremely affordable price. Order yours from Sam Ash Direct today with free shipping and the guaranteed lowest price.

Kramer is the number one name in high-performance guitars for high-performance rockers, and the new Baretta Special has a pedigree like few instruments out there. Styled in the image of the original Kramer Barettas of the early 1980s--one of which was the choice of the legendary Edward Van Halen--the Baretta Special has the distinctive offset double-cutaway body and droopy “hockey” headstock that set the rock world on fire nearly 30 years ago, while providing the power and playability required to do justice to its namesake. With a powerful humbucker pickup, vintage-style vibrato tailpiece, and a stunning Vintage White or Black finish, this entry level shred machine is the perfect introduction to the Kramer world without breaking your wallet.

Looking beneath the first-class hardware and electronics, the Kramer Baretta Special has the right tonewoods to back it all up. Its body is crafted from solid mahogany, a legendary wood for use in electric guitars, known for its outstanding richness and depth. The bolt-on neck is carved from hard Maple with a glued-on Rosewood fingerboard, and is built to the 25 1/2” scale length that many shredders prefer, which offers tight, thumping lows and shimmering harmonics. A fast, slim neck profile, 22 medium-jumbo frets, and a 12" fingerboard radius combine to make the Baretta Special superbly playable.

For no-nonsense rock action, the Kramer Baretta Special carries a single high-output humbucking pickup in the bridge position, routed through a single volume control. This Baretta Special pickup is wound with 42-AWG wire and made with a genuine Alnico V magnet just like the most desirable vintage humbuckers, but it has extra turns of wire for scorching leads and crunching rhythm tones, along with endless singing sustain. A vintage-style vibrato tailpiece provides all the divebombing action you can whip up, while premium die cast tuners with an efficient 14:1 gear ratio help to keep the whole package true to pitch. Case not included.

Features:

  • Mahogany Body
  • Maple Neck with Rosewood Fingerboard
  • 25.5" scale
  • 12" radius
  • 1 Volume
  • Vintage Tremolo
  • Alnico V Zebra Coil Humbucker
  • Premium Die-cast Tuners

Can't be beaten for the money

I was buying this as a project guitar for the body and neck, I figured I would be ripping everything out of it. Nope! I was shocked, the guitar has amazing authentic Alnico V tone. High output pickups, great sustain which surprised me because the trem block is that zinc Korean small block stuff. But I decided to leave the guitar as is because it does what I want it to. I should add I own 100+ guitars some worth thousands and while this isn't a $1,400 Baretta with locking Floyd it is a great buy for the money. This easily could sell for $300. I did have to take sharp fret ends off one side of the fret board and did level 2 frets but what do you expect for $180. I should add I bought two of these, one black and one white elsewhere and the white one had no issues at all, no sharp fret ends and no fret issues. My suggestion would be if you buy one and it isn't what it should be send it back and ask for another until you get one that plays right. I'm a guitar luthier so fixing 95% of issues really isn't much ado about much. If you want great out of the box spend more than $500, anything less and there more than likely will be issues with frets or what have you which is why I was so happy with the white one I purchased and the black one needed a little tweaking. Overall you can't go wrong with these. Buy with confidence, Sam Ash has a great team of people to make returns easy and like stated you will more than likely be very happy here with these.

This gem of a guitar does the Arena Rock and 80s style music with aplomb. The p'up has a lot of output, but still sounds decent when cleaned up. The treble bleed cap works great with a clean sound, but not as good with hard overdrive. I may put a pull pot in to be able switch the cap in or out. Fit, finish and playability is top-notch. The neck is about perfect on this very light 7.0 lb. beast. Buy this guitar, I demand you!!!

Love it. Easy to play, sounds good, well made, solid guitar. I have had other low end guitars and this one looks, feels, and plays like a more expensive guitar. I'll probably buy another one.
