The ARP Odyssey was an analog synthesizer originally produced in 1972 by ARP Instruments, Inc. that garnered a faithful following among musicians.  Well respected for its high value, ease to play and portability, the ARP Odyssey is loved by a wide range of musicians as a historical classic.

With the advisory assistance of David Friend, the co-founder of ARP Instruments, Korg has completely reproduced the original circuitry for artists looking to recreate classic sounds and explore new ones. Together the engineers at Korg and Arp were able to recreate the sound and feel of the original. Every detail has been carefully considered to stay true to the quality of its predecessor, down to the sophisticated semi-hard case. The legendary ARP sound is loved to this day.

  • Complete reconstruction of three generations of circuitry
  • An evolved ARP Odyssey that preserves the basic design of the original
  • Dedicated semi-hard case included
  • Rev1 and Rev2 designs also revived as limited-edition models
  • Connectors include MIDI and headphone output

Flexible and Powerful

I bought the ARP Odyssey on the suggestion of a guy who owns an original. This unit is so flexible. It will take a good bit of time to exploit all the sounds that it can make but the fact that the workflow is upfront and clear to understand, you can get going immediately. The XLR output is a fantastic feature and I'm starting to fall for the pushbutton pitch mod over the wheels on other units. It is weird that the synth should be so lightweight but deliver on the sound. Hopefully the plastic used on the bottom lasts for many years. Cons? I'm not a fan of slimkeys but playing the unit is comfortable. That's the only issue I have found with it in the month I've had it. I play it almost daily and I'm glad I decided to go with this reproduction as opposed to the Behringer. It is more of a faithful copy w/o added functionality (sequencer).

This is a great product for a great price! Durable, easy to use and sounds great. What more could you ask for? Great for home practice, studio use or live performance. This is a real hands on review by Teal from Sam Ash

The analog synth has come along a way, and now it's legacy continues with the Korg Odyssey! Modeled after the old ARP Odyssey, this one compares to the ARP and goes beyond with its new features! This is a real hands-on review from Brandon @SamAshCanogaPark

An amazing must have item. Korg reproduced circuitry for artists that look to recreate classic sounds and explore new ones. With the combination of Korg and Arp they were able to recreate the sound and to be original. Plus side is it comes with hard shell case. Vintage New

A great homage to the original. Great for reproducing vintage 70's 80's synth tones. Perfect for soundtrack music. Easy to use and I cant express how good the effects are. This is a real hands on product review from eric @ Sam Ash Cincinnati.

Moving Forward, Looking Back.

Korg has redesigned and brought back a great piece of gear that was every synth player's dream back in the 70's, and they've done a great job! if you're not too familiar with analog synths and vintage gear, a bit of learning will be involved. Many electronic "musicians" today like to press play and let the computer do most of the work. This is a throwback to a time when people who played these instruments, actually knew how to play them. I encourage any skeptics to get down and dirty and try this for themselves. You might learn something, and you might accidentally create your next hit song in the process.
