The JodyJazz Power Ring Ligature improves upon the original JodyJazz Ring Ligature with a design that provides both a significant improvement in performance and greatly enhanced visual appeal. Taking the essence of his original ring ligature design, Jody Espina has added greater thickness and heft together with more pronounced side curves and extreme contoured edges both top and bottom. Jody developed the original ring ligature to provide an elegant solution to the problem with ligatures that dampen vibration of the reed. The Power Ring features a concave inner design which reduces the touch points on the reed thereby maximizing reed vibration. There are no moving or added parts, thereby increasing the efficiency of vibration. The increased mass and greater wall thickness of the Power Ring Ligature, together with its more contoured shape, provides a more solid contact with the reed at the points where they touch. This allows the most freedom and vibration of the reed which in turn also increases the amount of harmonics present, allowing the fullest sound containing high, mid, and low frequencies.

The size and taper of each of the Power Ring Ligature models is perfectly designed to be an exact fit with the designated JodyJazz mouthpiece. The Power Ring simply slides over the reed and becomes very secure as it is pushed tightly over the reed.

Though the Power Ring Ligatures are designed specifically to fit JodyJazz mouthpieces, with multiple size options available, there's sure to be a Power Ring model that fits your mouthpiece whatever the brand. Power Ring Ligatures are available for all JodyJazz mouthpiece models (except HR* Soprano).
