The latest collaboration custom mouthpiece by masters Phil Engleman and Theo Wanne!

The Isotope is the newest collaboration between Phil-Tone Woodwinds and Theo Wanne.  It's not just another high baffle piece.  In addition to a step baffle it sports a hint of a rollover baffle and more importantly, sidewalls that are undercut.  This adds ease of control and depth to the piece. It remains full in the low end and the palm keys to not thin out.  This piece can contend with modern electric instruments and has a stage presence that is unrivaled for Jazz, fusion, and R&B. The Isotope is incredibly powerful, gutsy, and just a little bit radioactive.

Each piece is individually faced and play tested by Phil Engleman before going to market!

Phil and Theo have been working collaboratively for approximately five years.  Together, they have designed and created multiple world class metal mouthpieces.  The Tribute, the Mosaic, the Isotope and soon to be released the Isotope alto. Pieces are manufactured in Theo’s shop to the highest tolerances.  Phil then faces adjusts and play tests each piece before it is completed and heads to market.

Ligature not included.

Things You Will Get:

Just WOW!

The Isotope is one great mouthpiece. It plays with just the right amount of edge and fatness. It's comfortable playing loud or when subtoning and it doesn't lose tonal character in any range or dynamic. If you need to play loud, it delivers in spades but it's also comfortable with smooth ballads. It's absolutelly the best high baffle piece that I've ever played. I play gospel/funk and I love the Isotope. It's a winner!

Just WOW!

I have played the Isotope for a couple of days and it's the best playing high baffle piece that I've ever played. It has a nice, resonant sound that has some body (fatness) and it doesn't change timbre when playing low/high or soft/loud. It can whisper or knock the walls down. It's just fun to play....period.
