After spending years studying violin during my youth, I was given a used steel string acoustic guitar as an adult. I took lessons briefly but then spent years applying what I had learned on the violin to guitar. The steel strings kept me from playing often enough, so I got rid of the guitar, but after a few years I found myself missing it. Since most of what I had taught myself was finger picking, I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered hybrid nylon string acoustic guitars. When I tried a black Ibanez AEG10NII at the Sarasota FL Sam Ash a year ago I fell in love with it! I knew it was a compromise, but it checked most of the boxes for what made a guitar that I would look forward to playing regularly, and I am enjoying it very much!
