I used this to connect my keyboard to my soundboard. This adapter plugged into the phones/output jack on the keyboard. Then I ran two 25 foot mono guitar cables from this adapter to the stereo input jacks on my soundboard. Keep in mind most soundboards only have any where from 2-4 stereo channels and the rest are mono. So instead of taking up two mono channels, I've used 1 stereo channel (Left, Right). A lot of people connect the Keyboard to the soundboard incorrectly, because most keyboards only have stereo jacks, when they plug in a mono guitar cable into the phone/output jack on the keyboard they are actually shorting the right channel to ground. Which is not good. Also they loose the right channel. Soundboard do not have stereo jacks on the soundboard, except for the headphone output. The rest are mostly Mono 1/4inch or XLR. Some newer soundboards have that new mixer plug, which contain both XLR and 1/4inch in the same jack.
