There's a reason why Todd Suchermann has reached super-star status in the drum world over the last few years, he's an amazing player. But unlike a lot of DVDs by amazing players, this one is extremely practical, and isn't just a chops-showoff for 2 hours. He breaks rudiments down and shows many different ways to utilize them on the drum set for beats and fills. A very useful feature is slow-motion, so you can really see every stroke and detail of what he's doing. The content in Methods and Mechanics isn't just geared towards players of one certain genre of music...everything in here can be used by everyone from jazzers to extreme metalists. His little "quick tips" are useful tips/reminders of some things that may not be so obvious to survive a gig, session, even traveling. If you can't tell, I recommend this to drummers beginner to advanced.
