Over the years, I've been using this exclusively as my carry out case for busking, mostly because it offers just enough protection and is comfortable to wear with shoulder straps and has a front pocket design that allowd me to carry my mini mic stand with the mic mounted on it, around as well. I own a number of these and have broken two. In the beginning, not knowing exactly what polyfoam was, I thought it was some kind of molded hard plastic. It's not; it's actually styrofoam packing material like what comes on the corners of your amp when its packed in its ship box from the factory. It also has a thin bent wood liner on the outside circumference thats about as thick as a guitar side (pretty thin). While it feels and looks like it offers as much protection as a hard case, it doesn't. Then again, it's not advertised as that (only the reviews posted here suggest anything like that . It's good but not that goof). Bottom line is that this is a great case for the money and I recommend it, even to my own self, everytime I'm looking for a new carry around case. For shipping or airline use, look for a real hard case.
