Why did I wait so long to get one...
I had put off buying a Casino for many years, and had owned a number of Sheratons and Dots previously. I have always preferred the Korean Epiphones over the Chinese production versions. However, I decided to take the plunge and order the Vintage Sunburst Casino with the view to upgrade its hardware and electronics gradually. Out of the box the guitar is impressive, with a few niggles common with guitars from the Far East. Namely, a dry fretboard and slightly scratchy frets. Nothing which can't easily be remedied, though it would make the buying experience much better if Sam Ash gave the guitar a once over before shipping it out and addressed these minor issues. I got a pretty good price on the guitar which is always a bonus. The guitar is great to pick up and just play acoustically, it has a nice projection and volume, but with the playability of an electric as would be expected. I would recommend this guitar to guitarists of all levels, though as it is a hollow body it doesn't lend itself to heavier distorted styles of music.
