Bought this guitar after getting info from sales associate that not only is this guitar acoustic-electric, but it is made of solid African mahogany wood through and through with an Indian rosewood neck. This was very important for us, as we found out that overtime the wood will continue to age, and thus only get better and better in sound quality with its very warm and rich tone. Not all guitars will age through and through like this. Some guitars are made of a particular solid wood on the outside, but not necessarily on the inside, which does affect the sound quality overtime. This guitar is worth paying for in exchange for the exceptional sound quality in the wood aging process, as it gains more and more clarity and richness when it is played more and more. Also, as a songwriter, this guitar was one of the better picks in its price-range to compliment my voice-range. This was very important because I did not want a guitar that would be competing, in a sense, with my voice. For a smaller guitar to produce such a great sound, we were impressed.
