Excellent Starter Banjo

I bought this banjo as a gift for my Wife. But we both ended up playing it. It sounds great out of the box after tuning it. Everything was already setup and ready to go. The price of this makes this attractive for beginners because it's well made and sounds great. Only con is that the included Gig Bag is worthless. Super thin with no protection.

Not a cheap starter banjo

Walked in for strings and walked out with this banjo. I've had two Deerings and a Bart Rieter. This banjo would hold up well against any of them. This inexpensive instrument (not to be confused with cheap instrument) has gotten me playing banjo again. I find it rather attractive for its simplicity. I'd recommend it to someone starting out and someone who already plays who wants a back up.

Great banjo at a great price

Every other banjo I've played at anywhere near this price point was a disappointment. The AC-1 isn't going to win any beauty contests but it sounds good and is the easiest playing banjo for anywhere near the money.
