A no-nonsense, hard-working left-handed Les Paul made even better with the addition of Gibson's revolutionary Min-ETune system!

Giving you everything you need and more at an unbelievable price, the Les Paul Studio pairs classic, stripped-down Studio style with Gibson's groundbreaking Mini-ETune system to give you an outstanding 21st Century instrument. Not only that, but the electronics on this lefty Les Paul Studio offer the ultimate blend of authentic Gibson humbucker tone with modern versatility. What's more? This genuine USA-made Les Paul gives players the perfect blend of the old and the new with a classic tonewood combination, Gibson's exclusive Modern Weight relief, a '60s SlimTaper mahogany neck, and a rosewood fretboard with traditional Trapezoid inlays.

Classic Construction Meets Modern Upgrades
Since its inception, the marriage of a maple top with mahogany body has probably the most common Les Paul feature. This incarnation holds true to that timeless tonewood combination while also incorporating Gibson's Modern Weight relief pattern that'll lighten up your load while enhancing resonance. The mahogany neck is shaped into an ultra-fast '60s SlimTaper profile, and is capped with a 12"-radius rosewood fingerboard featuring 22 medium-jumbo frets, a traditional 24.75" scale length, and a classic 1-11/16" nut width.

Versatile Electronics with Coil-Splitting
Just like the construction, the electronics pair time-tested tone with contemporary flexibility. Giving you all those coveted vintage PAF tones you crave, a 490R neck pickup delivers that legendary old-school warmth that was made famous by the humbuckers of yesteryear while a hotter 498T serves up those searing hot tones for solos and leads. You can even tap into genuine single-coil tones on the fly thanks to independent push-pull tone controls.

Groundbreaking Min-ETune System and Rock-Solid Traditional Hardware
As with everything else on this model, this Les Paul Studio comes equipped with the ideal mixture of classic and contemporary. It comes upgraded with Gibson's automated Min-ETune tuning system for precise, smooth tuning while a traditional Tune-O-Matic bridge/stopbar tailpiece combo provides unmatched sustain and intonation.

Excellent USA made guitar

Bought the alpine white studio version and couldn't be happier. Came spotless and enclosed in a Gibson LP (Brown with the hot pink interior) look alike case. The MinETune system was a welcomed upgrade for this tone deaf individual. This Gibson blowout was a blessing to us lefties!

Sounds better than it looks, plays like a dream

everything came flawless, the guitar rocks like theres no tomorrow, it came setup pretty high but after adjustments it plays like a dream, i wish the neck was a little thinner than it is , it is pretty thick even for a 60 slim taper, but the guitar still plays fast and sounds FANTASTIC, much better than my epiphone les paul custom with upgraded seymour duncan pickups, im so happy with my purchase you have no idea,

Heck of a deal

Happy I bought this. True Les Paul and plays and sounds great. White looks great with black leather strap. I play mostly at home and with friends so wasn't concerned about the looks to begin with. Before I go to the cons I do ant to say it's a Gibson Les Paul for the best price period. Set up was spot on. I was surprised at how dirty it was when I opened the case. Assumed it was a display but sales representative said no. Plastic film on the pick guard was almost impossible to remove like it had been it the sun or something. Min-Etune did not work. Remember this is a 5 year old guitar and I doubt Gibson will warrant the tuning system but I'm not concerned and have already replaced with Gibson tuners. These are the only reasons for not getting 5 starts. The guitar is great and I really like it. I know I could have sent it back but when I got it I played it for 3 hours and fell for it. Getcha 1

Great Lefty Les Paul

I'll be honest, I was surprised at first by the price. It seemed too good to be true. After doing some digging and research, everything looked right. I pulled the trigger and couldn't be happier. As a left-handed player, I thought I'd be hard pressed to find a lefty Les Paul for anything under $1,000 - let alone a brand new one. This is a 2013 model year, but it's definitely new old stock. It came with all the Gibson information and was clearly brand new when I took it out of the box. The granadillo fretboard is definitely lighter than rosewood, but I imagine after a few years and some oiling it'll darken right up. The fret work looked great, and the neck is smooth and quick. The push/pull pots for coil splitting are awesome, and I was surprised at how much I liked the min-Etune system. I was prepared to drop another $50 on Gibson tuners, but I'm going to hold off for the time. Min-Etune, once you've used it a few times, is really a great thing to have. I'm using this guitar to record in a home studio and having it quickly tuned up at the touch of a button is a trip. The only real downside to the system is that it can definitely increase string-changing times. I suspect that will likely go down the more familiar I am with it though. As for the pickups, the 490R/498T both sing. The bridge pickup has that clear, full-sounding Les Paul growl, especially when driven. The neck pickup is smooth with plenty of low end for a more mellow sound. The coil-tapping feature is interesting and can yield some great sounds, but it's never going to recreate the snap and jangle of a Stratocaster. That's okay. I didn't buy a Les Paul for it's Strat imitation. Ultimately, the neck feels quick and smooth with its nitro-gloss. I decided to go with Alpine White, which has a really distinct, unique look. I never thought I'd own a white guitar, but I don't think I'd be happy with anything else right now.
