Bringing it home with one of the Les Paul models that started it all, Gibson keeps classic Les Paul features and finishes with some modernistic perfection. This guitar has a beautiful AA figured maple top on mahogany body, the finest Gibson craftsmanship, and dual Burstbucker 61 pickups, for killer vintage tone. The Les Paul Standard '60s is perfect for the rocker that appreciates an awesome playing guitar with a vintage tilt.

Beautiful AA Figured Maple Top on Mahogany Body
The timeless single cutaway design of this Les Paul is built from mahogany and topped with AA figured maple. It's finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer for a gleaming shine. The neck is also cut from mahogany into a slim taper profile. The 24.75" scale length neck is topped with a 12" rosewood fretboard.

The Finest Gibson Craftsmanship
The Les Paul Standard '60s guitar is built with stylish rock aesthetics and fantastic playability in mind. All the specs go towards that end. The fretboard of this Les Paul sports 22 medium jumbo frets and acrylic trapezoid inlays. It's got a Graph Tech nut for smooth string movement. The bridge on this Les Paul is a classic ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic with a stop bar tailpiece. The tuners are Grover Rotomatics with kidney buttons.

Burstbucker 61 Pickups
For killer vintage tone, Gibson outfitted this awesome LP with dual Burstbucker 61 pickups. These humbuckers give classic, clear sound, and extra trebly output, which articulately handles gain and effects. The circuitry includes 2 volume and 2 tone controls, as well as a three-way toggle switch, and is wired with orange drop capacitors. ABSOLUTLY INCREDIBLE!!! Gibson hit a massive home run with this guitar! After reading all the reviews and watching video's about this guitar, I see why everyone gives it a 5 star rating now that I have one of my own. I didn't have to do a single adjustment of any kind on this guitar when it arrived. I first looked over the entire guitar when I received it and there are no scratches, ding's, or dents. The binding is flawless around the main body. The guitar has an amazing burst on the front. The string height and neck is set perfectly. The action on the neck is very fast and smooth. No fret buzz or dead notes. The warm thick tones of the humbuckers are killer. When I plugged it in I played on the clear channel first and the tones blew me away (crisp warm tones). I then clicked on distortion and the guitar light up with an incredibly smooth powerful distortion punch. Gibson's have a great tone for every kind of music which is why I only play Gibson's on stage and in practice. The case it came in is top notch. It has a thick padded lining around the inside of the case for great protection. Many THANKS to my Sam Ash Sales Specialist, Steve Segal, for helping me with this sale and for answering all my questions! Bottom line: I would buy this guitar again and again and if you buy one, you won't be disappointed!!! Well worth the money! ROCK ON!!!

An inspiring guitar...

Amazing guitar. My others are a Lonestar Stratocaster, USA (1998), and an LTD EC-1000. I have always wanted a Les Paul Standard, and that rich tone, so I finally got it. I bought this online without having played it before, and was pleasantly surprised by the neck. I played a Gold-top (probably with a fifties style neck) Les Paul Standard at a guitar shop a long time ago, but didn't care for the neck on it (too fat, almost felt like an acoustic guitar neck). When i heard about the '60s neck, I figured I would try it. So playable; it came setup beautifully from Sam Ash. I love the nitrocellulose; very slick. The guitar was pristine. There's a "Whole Lotta Love" for this guitar (as my neighbors and family can attest). I'm glad to be in the Gibson club now; it feels elite (even if my playing isn't).

Love it

I love the LP looks, maybe the best looking guitar, easy to play, I love the finish of the iced tea. You will be very happy!

Love this guitar. Plays and sounds just fabulous. The good days!!

Love my new Les Paul!

Love love love my new baby! I'm very particular about Les Pauls, having only played a select few that I actually connect with, which prompted me to finally own this one! Thanks to Michael for his terrific salesmanship!

It's a beauty!! The flame job is one of the best I've seen for AA. The pickups are really nice with really bright mids.
