One of the coolest body styles in rock, the Gibson Flying V has a defiant look and sound to match. Featuring a mahogany Flying V build, Gibson designer specs, and dual Burstbucker pickups, this classic Gibson model is great for the player that wants to fly above the pack.

Mahogany Flying V Build
First debuting in 1958 with its brother the Explorer, the Flying V was a limited model and clearly stood out in the guitar world. Decades later, it still does. This bold guitar has a body built from mahogany, topped with a shapely pickguard following the angles of the bottom. The finish is gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. The neck is also mahogany, cut into slim taper profile, with a 1.695" nut width and a 24.75" scale length.

Gibson Designer Specs
The Flying V has an unrivaled assertiveness that suits all matters of music, from blues to metal. Each aspect of it is designed to make it one-of-a-kind. There's a rosewood fretboard for a nice look and smooth feel. It's got 22 medium jumbo frets, acrylic dot inlays, and a Graph Tech nut. The headstock sports Grover Rotomatic tuners with kidney buttons while the bridge is a Nashville Tune-O-Matic with stop bar tailpiece. Throw in black top hat knobs with silver reflectors and you've got one heck of an axe.

Dual Burstbucker Pickups
The dual covered humbuckers are an excellent fit for the style and vibe of the Flying V. Outfitted with a Burstbucker 2 at the neck and a Burstbucker 3 at the bridge, you can swap between the two or use both simultaneously with the three-way toggle switch. The Flying V also has 2 volumes and 1 tone.
