Retuned the 2 i received due to poor quality control. First one the finish and wood seemed to be peeling off inside the truss rod hole, And a screw on top of the bridge was screwed in out of alignment creating a space between the bridge plate and head of screw. It also had a dent/ scrape on the fretboard below the nut. The second 'ultra' guitar had a tuner that was stuck and could hardly move. And an input jack that couldn't seat the jack properly. Also the screws that bolt the neck onto the Body on the back of the guitar were screwed in on kind of an 'off center and at an angle' ... And They looked too off to seem acceptable. I called fender about it and a rep said something like "that seems odd". He noticed my email as well and said he would forward it to a fender tech. 2 weeks later, no response yet. Needless to say ive emailed fender twice, and still no response. Anyway, i feel if fender is selling something they are calling 'ultra', it shouldn't be a 'hit or miss' in finding a guitar that reflects that. I dont mind paying for the product fender, just please give me the quality that should be there along with the price tag. One thing that i feel should be noted. The reps at sam ash were amazing! So helpful, patient and professional! THANK YOU SAM ASH, WAY TO GO!
