I previously purchased a Fender Coronado for the original 60's styling. The Starcaster complements the Coronado with a more extreme 70's style. Both guitars are a bargain at the full list price, but what makes this purchase particularly satisfying is the great price from Sam Ash. These high quality Chinese-made semi-hollow guitars are an improvement from the original hollow bodies with a center block to prevent feedback at full volume. If you know about the superb vintage Japanese-made Matsumoku 5202T guitar with clone diamond shaped F holes, a Firebird headstock, and chrome vibrato tailpiece, and compare it to the extremely expensive Gibson Trini Lopez, you know just how exceptional a value these Fender guitars are.
