This stand is very, very light and it folds up to a very neat and thin package that I can stuff right into my guitar gig bag and not have to carry it separately. I have used it at home, at rehearsals, at the studio and on-stage and it has always worked like a charm...stable and secure. My primary acoustic guitar is a Martin-made Sigma dreadnought and it fits perfectly on this stand.
