AWESOME AMERICAN STRATOCASTER
I had an Fender American Standard Stratocaster and felt that the single coils were great but I wanted something that would have a higher output and the tone itself wasn't I was looking for, the American Standard is a great legendary guitar just wasn't doing it for me. I am a big supporter of fender products and didn't want to deviate to other 'super strats' just to get a sound that I like. Then comes the Fender Jim Root Signature Stratocaster, which blew me away. Sam Ash really took care of me and hooked it up with some deals. Shipping was no problem, guitar came through and was in perfect condition great action, with a beautiful TSA approved case. I am ecstatic just writing about this because that moment it arrived meant a lot to me. Neck is smooth and fast, the ebony fret board just makes the guitar look so rich and feels great. Some people don't dig the finish but I love it, it shines beautifully with the light. This guitar just looks KILLER! I love the clean fret board and there are no inlays on it which makes this guitar look super sleek. Let's just say you're paying good money for a good product.. I am a big fan of all mahogany.. and on a Fender Stratocaster? Dream come true! Once you go locking tuners like the ones these have it is really hard to go back to regular tuners in my opinion, I love the dark black tuning pegs and how easy it is to change strings on the locking tuners. Sound: If you like the thicker solid tone that EMGs offer then look no further. My initial problem was I liked everything about my American Standard (feel, looks, history, playability) except the sound wasn't there for me. When the Jim Root Stratocaster came along, all doubts about an American Fender Stratocaster were gone, everything I want in terms of a sound is in this Fender Stratocaster.. and it's still a Fender Stratocaster!! I like thick rich and warm sounds that sometimes single coils that come stock on Fenders couldn't attain at the level that I like on the Jim root Stratocaster. Some people say the sound is only limited to metal but I found out that if you adjust the volume knob and combine that with the preference of your pickups then you can attain sounds outside of metal. If you already like the guitar and are about to buy it I would predict that you will get your money's worth and you will LOVE the guitar. I definitely did, it took me a year to actually bite the bullet and buy this and it was worth it. It is a guitar that I could see myself keeping for the rest of my life. If I sound biased then I don't really care, those who own this guitar and love it know exactly what I'm talking about. Thank you Sam Ash, Fender guitars, and Jim Root for such an amazing product.
