The Classic Series '60s Stratocaster captures an amazing and groundbreaking chapter in Fender history.

For guitarists who must have original-era Strat sound, look and feel, the Classic Series '60s Stratocaster epitomizes the instrument during its second decade, when musicians used it to conjure and create electrifying sounds never before imagined or experienced. With its authentic features and finishes, everything about it takes you back to a wildly creative time when rock music came into its own - from surf to psychedelia and more—and players started to discover in earnest just what a phenomenal instrument the Stratocaster really was.

This instrument features vintage-style single-coil pickups that expertly evoke the sound and style of classic Fender guitars from the 1950s, '60s and '70s. The neck of this instrument has a comfortable "C" profile (the shape of the neck in cross section), sculpted to impart a vintage-style playing feel from Fender’s first golden age in the 1950s and '60s. The most prevalent neck profile shape, it’s remarkably comfortable and is ideal for all playing styles. With authentic design and performance that evokes the Stratocasters of the 1950s and '60s, this model features a vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge with six saddles. Deluxe gig bag included.

Features:
  • Maple neck with "C"-shaped profile and "small" headstock
  • 7.25"-radius rosewood fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets
  • Vintage-style single-coil Stratocaster pickups with staggered pole pieces
  • Modern five-way pickup switch
  • Aged control knobs and switch tip
  • Vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge
  • Deluxe gig bag included

I'm in love

I was thrilled waiting for this to arrive based on all the reviews I read and I am not dissappointed. This baby looks stunning especially looking at it in the light. The neck is very comfortable and feels great in my hand. I am still bonding with this guitar and getting used to the vintage feel and the vintage style frets but everyday I am loving this guitar more and more. Originally, I bought a Chavel So cal which is a wonderful guitar but it just didn't have the soulful, bluesy and passionate sound that this beauty does. After I received the Charvel I felt un-inspired and didn't like the very thick and muddy tone of the hum buckers so I took to the internet to look for another guitar at which time I discovered this baby. I fell in love and knew what I had to do. So, I sent the Charvel back and ordered this guitar from samash. For playing classic rock, blues, jazz and funk this guitar is absolutely awesome. If you've never played a vintage style strat I think you are in for a wonderful surprise. Jesus is your answer and God bless you. Romans 10:9-10

Awesome 60's Strat

Bought this guitar second hand(Lake Placid BLue) it is one of the earlier models made in 1999. incredible guitar, the soft c shaped neck is amazing and the pickups are great. dont expect high output out of the bridge pickup because it is made to sound like that of a 60's strat bridge pickup. As for the craftsmanship it is superb, comparable to any American standard or US made Fender guitar.

Amazing Guitar

4

This guitar is fantastic. I was a bit unsure of the guitar at first, but I gave it a day and I'm glad I did. The guitar looks, feels and plays great. The body is lighter than the American Stratocasters but produces comparable tone quality. The pickups allow for a lot of different sounds suitable for a much wider range of styles than one would assume a vintage reissue would be capable of handling. However, the pickups could be a lot better. The neck pickup at times can be unforgivably quiet or uncontrollably bassy. The bridge pickup is amazingly hot and does a lot to support the sound of the others; it's obviously the best pickup of the three. Personally, I'm planning on replacing all of the pickups with Lace Sensors. On a more minor note, if you're not used to polyurethane-coated necks, it may take a while to get used to the feel of them. I personally never used a guitar before this one that had one so it was somewhat of a shock to my hands but didn't take long to get used to. Quality like this at such a low price is a steal.
