The Fender Blues Junior Lacquered Tweed is all kinds of cool. Featuring vintage voicing, bluesy controls, and old school Fender construction, this Blues Junior amp will have you playing the blues anytime, anywhere.

Vintage Voicing
Fender's experience results in quality like no other. They can do vintage, because they were around decades ago when vintage was brand new. The way they wired this amp, despite its size, affords players some excellent vintage tone. Beginning with 15 watts of power, the Blues Junior sports a vintage-voiced 12" Jensen speaker. It sports an all-tube signal path, which is comprised of three 12AX7 preamp tubes, and dual EL84 output tubes. This affords excellent, rich tone and subtle dynamics, with power to boot.

Bluesy Controls
This amp is all about the blues, so Fender outfitted it with some features that really represent the genre. First off, this amp boasts the usual master volume, treble, middle and bass, to sharpen your tone the way you want it. But it also has a "Fat" switch. This push button will add midrange to achieve noticeable thickness of tone. In addition, the Fender Blues Junior Lacquered Tweed has a reverb control, so you can dial up the vintage blues sound.

Old School Fender Construction
With vintage styling, this amp keeps it simple, but solid. The main design feature of this amp is of course the lacquered tweed covering. Layered over a 7-ply 3/4 birch/maple plywood cabinet, the vintage style covering is completed with a vintage-style brown and gold grill cloth. It has a vintage-style leather handle with nickel mounting hardware and is finished off with the always recognizable red jewel indicator light.

Fender Blues Junior - A Great Amp

I am very happy with my new Fender Blues Junior amp. The manager at Sam Ash in Jacksonville was very helpful and did not pressure me to make a purchase on the day I visited. After trying several amps I thought about my options for a few days and ordered a Blues Junior from the Sam Ash website (the store did not have one in stock). I will definitely return to Sam Ash for future purchases.

I would get another if needed but for now one is perfect

I am 76 years old and as other Guitar nuts of my age we often remember the OLD SOUND of the fifties and sixties . I have tried the present amps and I do not criticize any product . they all have there pluses and minuses, BUT, this medium sized Fender Amp is perfect for me. It has the old sound for sure and it I don't need an Elephant to help me cary it. It is in my opinion, the perfect amp for not only seniors of my era but all Guitarists who want a clean and warm sound with great reverb, and easy dial reading . Looking down, rarhger than side ways. Some of us have trouble bending over to see the settings . I really like this Amp.

Everyone needs one

Legendary little amp that absolutely lives up to the hype.

Best blues tone

As an avid blues player, it's hard to find the exact tone I want for each lick. When I plug into the Blues junior, I don't have to do anything but turn up the gain and the amp does the rest. It has the perfect amount of crunch and reverb without getting too dirty, and as a Fender amp, it takes pedals great, especially my Boss Blues Driver. Fantastic tone.

Yep, This was a fantastic purchase

This replaced a Hot rod deluxe that was making my wife, dogs and neighbors crazy not to mention all the hearing loss I suffered at volume setting 1.I picked up a Vox Vt 30 shortly there after but no cigar and pined away for that creamy Fender tone. Then I tried Amplitube,Better but not really. So I finally broke down and purchased a tweed Junior from Sam and Co.In a word euphoria.Better tones than the Hot rod and manageable volumes that saved my ears,My marriage,My neighbors good will and my dogs are ever grateful!

Wonderful tone, beautiful compact amp

Bought it to replace a Super Champ X2. This amp is a joy to look at, appears to be solidly constructed. The backward facing chicken head controls are odd, but I got used to them. Not sure about the chrome control panel, may be an issue in some lighting conditions. Appears to be sensitive to any buzzy inputs like not-perfectly soldered pickup leads or questionable 1/4 inch cables. Rearranged my small pedal board a bit and changed out a cable and I was good to go. Now the good part: I use this amp with a humbucker modified Stratocaster, and a PRS 24. Both produce a beautiful, warm creamy tone with character from the first pluck to the last sustain like Slash on "Knocking on Heaven's Door". I can even come close to this tone at lower volumes like home rehearsal. I hardly ever turn on any stomp box because most times I like just as it is with the on-board spring reverb. I mostly play in chuches and mic the amp into the house and use it as a personal monitor. Paired with a super chorus it will give off that beautiful ephemeral tone used frequently in worship. Not sure it could do the surf music jangle; maybe with a single coil Strat but I never need that. And of course it can get down and dirty that would serve well in any highway 61 Mississippi juke joint. Everything in life is compromise, however this little amp pushes a whole lot of my happy buttons and I am very glad I bought it. Gives me very high pride in ownership.

Fneder Blues junior tweed

Traded in my blues deluxe tweed on this thing and I can't say I've been happier. It punches out a nice clean warm sound or gets dirty if I need it to. BUT_I don't have to crank it up like the Deluxe. That was just too much power for me. I needed to get that tone at lower levels and VOila-shes the answer! Thanks Fender for this great choice!
