Top-Notch Design Quality
Built from solid alder, the American Performer Telecaster sports the recognizable Tele shape you know and love. The neck is constructed from maple, cut into ultra-playable Fender modern "C" shape. The fingerboard has 22 jumbo frets and the inlays are the familiar Fender dots. With a 25.5" scale length, this guitar will give you plenty of comfortable playing.

Awesome Tele Style
It's great to be functional and it's also great to look good—thankfully, Telecasters do both. The classic Tele headstock has Fender ClassicGear tuners that shine with vintage style. Knurled Flat Top control knobs make it easy to feel your way to the perfect tone and volume blend, not to mention look real cool fitted over the chrome plate, next to the three-way selector switch. Of course, a main feature of any Tele is the bridge— the American Performer Telecaster Hum sports a 3-saddle strings-thru-body Tele bridge, which affords it great style and strong, trebly tone.

Revolutionary DoubleTap Humbucker
It may look familiar, but this is not your run of the mill Tele. It does have the build quality and design that you can rely on from Fender, but it also has something you've never seen before– a DoubleTap humbucker at the neck. The Fender DoubleTap was created to meet somewhere in between coil-tapping, where the output signal is reduced, and splitting coils. With the DoubleTap, one coil is wound super-hot, so when you engage the push/pull tone control, it taps into the half of the pickup that is over-wound, resulting in a bright, expressive tone without losing volume or adding feedback. This flings open new doors to Tele traditionalists and new Tele players alike. The American Performer Series Telecaster also has a Yosemite Alnico 4 Bridge single coil, so you won't miss out on those classic, trebly Tele sounds either.

A FANTASTIC Guitar and an AWESOME Telecaster

This guitar has an amazing range of tones and one of the nicest necks I've ever played and I've been playing for 20 years. This is by far the favorite of my guitars. I love evrything about it from the super playable neck to the amazing sound of the Tim Shaw pickups. I have had at least 20 guitars in my search for the perfect instrument (for me) and I couldn't be happier. This is my secon]d te;e and by far one of the finest guitars I have or will ever have. This guitar gives me everything I ask for from it and in my opinion is one of the finest guitars on the market today. There is nothing not to like about it. I haven't touched my Gibson les paul in months because this guitar gives me everything I ask for and then some. Never been happier with a guitar than this Tele. I highly recommend it. It is a joy to play . Fender hit the nail on the head with this Tele an absolute joy to play and sounds fantastic.

Very happy with this guitar.

Was in stock and arrived very fast. Well packed and no damage from shipping. Great feeling neck and set up very close to how I like it (lowered it just a tiny bit myself.) Great tones from the pickups and great flexibility. Great quality for a great price. I feel a better value than a similarly priced Vintera.
