Fender unveiled their high-end Jazz Bass in 1960, and soon, it became a fan favorite because of its sonic versatility, comfortable playing feel, and classy style. The American Original '60s Jazz Bass re-creates all the sonic and visual splendor of this now iconic bass with plenty of vintage-correct appointments, yet it also incorporates a contemporary fingerboard radius. True-to-spec pickups and hardware deliver accurate '60s tone and performance. Attention modern bass players who can't get enough of vintage Fender vibes: this American Original '60s Jazz Bass is the perfect instrument for you!

Vintage-Correct Appointments
Aside from the modern fingerboard radius (which we'll talk about next), this American Original '60s Jazz Bass remains true to '60s-era Jazz Bass as far as design. It comes with a wide selection of '60s-inspired features like an accurate vintage '60s body carve, a spot-on Slim "'60s C"-shaped maple neck, a round-laminated rosewood fingerboard with vintage tall frets and vintage clay dot inlays, a bone nut, and even a vintage truss rod assembly. Of course, just like the good ol' days, this American Original '60s Jazz Bass comes dressed in a gloss nitro lacquer finish, which will allow it to age gracefully overtime like all the best vintage instruments.

Contemporary Fingerboard Radius
While a majority of the features of this bass are old-school, the addition of a modern, flatter 9.5" fretboard radius compared to the vintage 7.25" radius provides today's players with a more contemporary playing feel.

True-to-Spec Pickups and Hardware
Delivering the authentic vintage tones that made the original such a hit with bass players, the American Original '60s Jazz Bass comes equipped with dual Pure Vintage '64 single-coil Jazz Bass pickups that were designed in the exacting image of the originals. A set of period-correct Pure Vintage Reverse open-gear tuning machines and a 4-saddle vintage-style bridge tie together this vintage-inspired package.
