Electric bass virtuoso Jaco Pastorius is widely recognized as one of the greatest players in the world, and today, Fender pays tribute to the late bassist by re-creating instantly recognizable sunburst fretless Jazz Bass with the Jaco Pastorius Jazz Bass.

The Jaco Pastorius Jazz Bass starts out with a nitrocellulose lacquer Sunburst-finished, pickguard-less select alder body and a comfortable "C"-shaped maple neck. The neck is capped with a urethane-coated pau ferro "slab" fretless fingerboard to give this bass that smooth fretless feel and sound while inlaid fret marker lines make it easier for players to see which notes they're playing. The neck also features a vintage-style butt adjust truss rod as well as an old-school 7.25" fingerboard radius. Equipped with dual American Vintage Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickups, the Jaco Pastorius Jazz Bass serves up that genuine Fender bass sound. Nickel/chrome hardware includes a 4-saddle American Vintage bass bridge, American Vintage Reverse Open-Gear tuners, knurled chrome P-Bass knobs, and a special Jaco tribute neck plate that pays homage to one of the world's greatest bass players. Comes complete with a hardshell case, a strap, a cable, and a tortoiseshell pickguard.
