This is a good looking guitar. I'm actually surprised the description doesn't mention the bound neck, body and headstock. The black binding really sets it off. The frets are finished off nicely. The pickups are made by G&B and sound pretty nice to be honest. The hardware for the most part is good enough. This would be a decent guitar for a beginner. Now, there are a couple of fit and finish issues that bother me. Little things like screws that are slightly crooked, the pickup springs don't match, they used a big nut as a washer on the tone knob and the knob was installed crooked. Those are relatively minor things. A big thing was the 3 way switch was garbage. I had to wiggle it to get it to work...so I just went ahead and replaced it with a Fender 3 way. A lot of the screws were either too tight or loose with the worse one being one of the switch cavity screws was stripped out of the wood! I basically had to disassemble the whole guitar and reassemble it properly. Also I noticed under the pickguard and inside the cavities was full of industrial dust. The factory they build these in must be a pig sty. There was also some chipping in the finish around the neck. To be honest if I was recommending a guitar in this price range for a beginner, it would be a Squire. The Squire quality control is much higher.
