After seeing Metallica this summer, I had to get one of these. This shipped from Sam Ash set up and ready to go. (Ok, I had to tune it.) The finish and bat/spider inlay job is flawless. The Floyd Rose system stays in great tune, even after a lot of abuse. I was surprised by the weight. Most modern Korean guitars are pretty light, but this thing is Les Paul-heavy, weighing 9 pounds on my scale. It makes it feel a little chunkier than it really is. The dense wood is probably why it has this wonderful chimey acoustic tone when not plugged in. Sounds awesome running through an overdriven tube amp. ESP calls the neck profile a "thin U", but I would call it a "standard C". Really comfortable for long playing, but a shreddy Super Wizard it is not. Since it is a bolt-on, upper fret access is kinda not great. About like a Strat and I don't hear too many people complaining about those. I know it sounds like I'm being picky, but I just wanted to point out the things that were unexpected. Overall, it's a great guitar and I enjoy playing it.
