The ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 VB Electric Guitar is a no-nonsense axe that would be a perfect fit any metal rig. Featuring a sleek satin Vintage Black finish over a single cutaway mahogany body, this metal machine means business. The set-in, 24-3/4"-scale mahogany neck has been carved into a speedy thin U profile and topped with a bound ebony fingerboard with 24 extra jumbo frets to facilitate high-velocity shredding and effortless string bending.

The EC-1000 VB is powered by a pair of high-output, active EMG humbuckers: an EMG 81 in the bridge position and an EMG 60 in the neck position. These pickups will deliver a killer sound and sonic amazing versatility. The EMG 60 in the neck position offers a thick, full voice that'll sound awesome whether you're playing clean, bluesy riffs or dishing out ultra high-gain low-end chugs. An EMG 81 in the bridge position provides plenty of  sustain and high-end cut to serve up loads of searing lead tones and screaming solos. The simplistic controls include independent volume controls for each pickup, a master tone control and a 3-way pickup selector toggle switch. Finally, the gold hardware includes LTD locking tuners and a TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece that will stabilize tuning and withstand anything you can dish out. The ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 VB Electric Guitar is built to metal approved specs and is ready to rock. Case not included.

I would highly recommend the LTD

The sound is great, very good quality and didn't cost a arm to get it,

I've been playing Electric for about 2 years with my dad's old Gibson Les Paul Traditional until it got robbed recently. I was accustomed to playing with what some people considered a premium guitar. I put away some money and was finally able to head into Sam Ash to pick out a Gibson Les Paul HP. This guitar caught my attention with it's cool Matte-Black finish with gold hardware. Long story short, I loved the lightweight feel and the slick neck feel, the sounds this little monster rings out, and the whole aggressive look. The overall touches this guitar comes with already feel premium; the locking tuners, EMG pickups, and great strings which can also be upgraded easily. If you're someone with a grand ($1,000.00) looking for the best bang for your buck, try this baby out.

This guitar looks so good I gave up picking it apart and just learned to deal with the problems. I had three in my hands at one point and they all had finish problems. I email ESP/LTD with all the serial numbers and what was wrong and I never got a response back. This guitar sounds really good dispite the horrible factory setup. the EMG's are great. It's super light, slim, and plays fast. Epiphone who??

feels like a glove!!!

i own a gibson LP and a fernandes ravelle (which is just like a LP, and this guitar felt the best! i use lower gauge strings (9's), a high gain boogie amp, and it made no difference playing this guitar. it felt so natural right off the shelf! i gotta have one now! EMG's, Floyd-styled tremolo. no wonder it is used by kirk hammet!

Very Awesome Guitar

This guitar will blow you away, don't listen to what anyone else has to say about this guitar. I took it straight from the box tuned it a whole step down, and couldnt believe that there wasnt any fret buzz. I expected to have to intonate it a little bit, but i didnt. It is almost to good to be true. This guitar was made for metal but has a very smooth clean sound, could be great for blues or jazz even with the EMGs. The fretboard is ebony which is awesome, the guitars neck is very fast. This guitar is worth the more than the price. I would suggest it to anyone. Why spend $500-$700 more when all your paying for is the logo.

Amazing Guitar!

The craftmanship, feel, tone, electronics and hardware of this guitar makes it the absolutely best buy over the more expensive Eclipse and the Gibson Les Paul.

Looks good on paper

Alright guys...here's the deal on the EC1000VB. The guitar has the specifications to be a serious guitar; however, the weakness seems to be that Earvana nut. I just received my EC1000VB [...]. At first, I was really impressed...upon closer inspection, I could see what looked like black shoe polish on my frets...so that's how they get the "ebony" board look. The wood actually looked closer to rosewood that had been dyed. I played the guitar unplugged. I noticed some buzzing/shimmering coming from the plain strings. I listened and put my ear to the nut...the vibrating/buzzing is coming from the Earvana nut. I plugged the guitar in and the sound is really apparent when played clean...not good. I think Earvana used some hard/hollow sounding plastic that is terrible acoustically for guitars. I cannot use this guitar...the sound is too apparent and not good. I'm regretably going to have to send it back. Perhaps the bone nut on the ESP Eclipse is better. Sonically the guitar did not have as many harmonics as I would expect from an EMG loaded guitar and overall the guitar played much like a [$]OLP guitar. I was very disappointed..especially since I purchased the LTD MW600 and I am blown away with the fit/finish/sound of that guitar..WELL worth the [$] tag. Sorry guys...I really wanted to like it. The VB is really a beautiful guitar though...and the tuners were Schaller...not Sperzels.

Excellent Choice

This guitar is amazing for nearly any application. When I first got it the guitar had a few minor problems that only required a quick set-up and string change to rectify. The EMG pick ups in this guitar offer amazing tone and sustain. The action is perfect and the neck is fast. The only ting I would change is acess to the 22-24 frets which in a little difficult at times but otherwise this guitar is better than many others I demoed at 5x the price

Great guitar

My good friend has this guitar and it is the best thing i have ever played.I used to love Ibanez guitar but after playing this I'm going to order the EC 1000 myself.
