Great 6 string bass at a great price
This is one of my favorite basses. It's my first 6 string, so I'm still learning what to do with all of the strings. It sounds great though. The neck feel is really nice. Is seems like a great value for price. I can't think of anything negative to say about it.
I've had this thing for only a year now, and I never regret getting it. This is honestly the best 6 string out there for it's price. The only problem that I had with this bass was the electronics. Since I'm not a huge expert on electronics and pickups, I had no idea why the sound was muddy (the low end is pretty muddy). I took it to a guy, he replaced the preamp with a new preamp and now it sounds absolutely KILLER. Once again, sound is a personal preference, and I've been trying to get a John Myung type of tone, which I can now get with the new preamp. Besides that however, GET THIS BASS. I strongly recommend replacing the preamp and raising the action, though.
This bass is not only REALLY beautiful, but it also gives a perfect sound. It gives a sharp, bright tone for when I'm shredding bass on it (and you can definitely shred bass on this), and it gives a thick, smooth sound for when I'm playing jazz or blues. As long as you know how to use it and can manage it's weight, this bass is probably the best 6-string out there. Period.
This bass is AWESOME, perfect if you want to try out a six string bass for the first time, its just fun to pick up and play, you can really get into it and can reach every note with a good sound, it will sound even better with a good amp to get a solid low B which we all know we want, basically, this bass is worth the money, no, its worth more than the money.
Used to be 4 string
I was trying this ESP vs the Ibanez GSR206 6 String. The Ibanez was OK however the ESP just blow it out of the water. The low B is very clear not muddy, and the EQ controls are far superior.

One of the best basses money can buy. Don't let the price or the fact that its a six string fool you. It doesnt matter what your budget is, if you play prog or fusion or just want to try a six string, this is the best six string I have ever played (probably the best bass I have ever played period). I know that its really a matter of prefference but for me, I would choose this ESP over a Dean, Schecter, dfinitely Fender and ever an expensive music man six. Even though mine wasnt set up well out of the box, its made very well and can easily work with low action (which is rare for a six string). I have never gotten any buzz through my amp and only a little buzz at the actual neck but then again I play with a ridiculously low and fast action. Incredible tone, crafstmanship, RIDICULOUS elctronics and eq, nice and chunky pick ups, relatively light weight, stays in tune, works with low action...basically designed for some serious rockin out. For all the bass lovers out there, check this instrument out and see what you've been missing.

This bass is great. I actually wasn't even in the market for one but when I saw all those features for the for [$] it was impossible to pass up. The spalted maple looks great. I wish there was another look option because I would like another one but don't want it to look exactly the same. The only problems are I wish it was a little thinner and it buzzes a lot when unplugged which is how I usually play. But niether of these are big problems a 9.5 of 10. I am actually considering buying a second one, I LOVE THIS BASS and I have owned many.
