With astonishing looks and more diverse tones, the Les Paul Standard PlusTop PRO stands out from the pack. The AAA Flame Maple Veneer Top exudes luxury, while the Epiphone ProBucker Humbuckers with coil-splitting gives you a plethora of tonal options. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic Bridge and Stopbar Tailpiece provide improved stability, so you can worry less and focus on playing more.

AAA Flame Maple Veneer Top
When you take the iconic Les Paul body and combine it with a beautiful AAA Flamed Maple Veneer Top, you have an instrument that has a level of beauty you'd typically find on high-end instruments, but is available at an affordable price. The mahogany body keeps the weighted feel and chunky sound you associate with the Les Paul, while a 24.75" scale mahogany neck with a 1960’s SlimTaper "D" neck profile lets you play comfortably across the Pau Ferro fingerboard.

Epiphone ProBucker Humbuckers
Epiphone made sure to have top notch tones coming from the pickups with their ProBucker-3 in the bridge and ProBucker-2 in the neck. Inspired by Gibson's classic BurstBucker humbucker pickup, the ProBucker is comprised of Alnico II magnets, high quality 4 conductor lead wire vacuum wax potted to eliminate microphonics, and 18% Nickel Silver unit bases and covers (the same alloy used by Gibson). The use of Nickel Silver creates more transparency and crispness, and the bobbins used on the ProBuckers are of duplicate size and shape of Gibson humbuckers. You're getting high-end components for a fraction of the price!

LockTone Tune-O-Matic Bridge and Stopbar Tailpiece
With the traditional Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece, you deal with the added stress of them becoming loose and falling off, getting misplaced, and more. Not only do the LockTone Tune-O-Matic Bridge and Stopbar Tailpiece stay in place, there's an added benefit of improved sustain and tone. Epiphone tested and concluded that after a 5 second period, the LockTone system was able to maintain sound over 5dB better than a traditional Tune-O-Matic Bridge and Stopbar Tailpiece. You won't have a problem holding out that note out anymore!

Sounds great!

Absolute must have

I wanted a particular sound and this guitar paired with my new Fender 100XL Champion... is simply awesome. It for me is the right combination. The Amp is off the chain good. The Les Paul... has the look and feel and plays like a well kept professional les Paul that has been broken in already. Who ever put this baby together did their homework on this guitar. I played it Christmas day and Good God Almighty... this rocked the whole house and sounded great. I didn't even use any effects or pedals... just the amp and the guitar straight up. If you're reading this... do not hesitate. Get one and you... like so many others here who have bought this guitar... will not be disappointed with the results. This guitar has mega sustain... great pinch harmonics... and a plethora of tone. I have the blue berry burst finish and with the binding having an aged look to it... it just says "I'm beautiful" and truly it is. Looks good... plays good. Worth the price. Thank you Sam Ash.

Like a vintage piece

The binding on mine is like a creamy color... not white like ivory. This guitar has wicked sustain. The pick ups are better than I expected. It's been 20 plus years since I owned a Les Paul... and now... I have a keeper. My last one has a broken headstock as I had got it used... but I did record my first tune with it and mahogany bodies absolutely rock in my opinion. This blueberry burst finish is incredible to look at and accented with chrome hardware really makes it stand out. I couldn't be more pleased. The price was great and so what if it does not say Gibson on it... it's a Les Paul and a good one at that.

I definitly would recommend and would buy again.

This guitar is fantastic! It plays like a dream and the intonation was perfect as received. The pickups are really good as well and split nicely for a single coil sound. I just don't see paying $3k-$4k for a Gibson sticker when you have basically an equivalent guitar for a fraction of the price.

Excellent Value

Amazing quality for the price. Pro Bucker pickups sound great. Excellent sustain. I have the Mojave Fade and love the flamed maple top.

I would buy another one if my review wins me $1000, lol

Love this guitar, great les Paul tone without the Gibson price. Lighter than my last GLP.

Super Great Guitar by Anyone's Standards!

You can pay a lot more for less and I did for several years. If your on the fence, you better check it out. It's also important to go through a seller you trust and respect. I was going to buy from another big name seller, but the deal fell apart because I didn't want the 55 point inspection that they offer. The last guitar I bought from them had problems and the inspection added to it. So, I just wanted them to send me a Les Paul from the factory and not do the worthless 55 point inspection. The representative flat refused, so I bought from Sam Ash. They did a great job and got me the guitar right on time with zero headaches or problems. Steve Segal is a remarkable representative who I recommend to anyone needing a question answered or making a purchase. Sincerely, William

Awesome guitar for a great price

I play at home and praise team at church. Have had my eye on this beauty for a while now. My biggest selling point are the Probucker pickups with coil tapping. Crystal clean tones all the way to fat, heavy rock sounds. I got the blueberry burst and love it. Definitely one of my favorite guitars

The best guitar I've ever played

I love using the guitar and I love the sound of it, the only thing is a problem with all Les Pauls, you have to take A LOT of care of them.

Excellent choice!

I bought it about few weeks ago and it has a great sound with pretty good pickups its a good learning guitar and has a great look. If you can not buy a Gibson, an Epiphone is the best choice. It's an amazing guitar for the price.
