The DC PRO is Epiphone's modern take on the classic Epiphone Del Rey Double Cut design. Featuring a double cutaway solid mahogany body with a AAA flame maple veneer top, ProBucker humbuckers with coil-tapping, a treble bleed circuit to maintain clarity at reduced volumes, and Grover 18:1 ratio tuners.

AAA Flame Maple Top and Double Cutaway
The original Del Rey was one of Epiphone's most loved contemporary designs when it was first produced in 1995 offering players an eye-catching double cutaway design with good upper fret access. Today, the DC PRO improves upon that tradition with a mahogany body with a double cutaway AAA flame maple veneer top for a rich tone with incredible sustain. The mahogany deep set neck has a unique and comfortable "C" profile and a pau ferro "all-access" fingerboard with 24 medium jumbo frets, a 24.75" scale, a 12" radius, and Graph Tech 43mm nut. The fingerboard has pearloid and abalone "block and triangle" inlays and the Sloped Dovewing headstock has Epiphone's iconic 1940s-era "Vine" inlay with the Epiphone logo in pearloid. The headstock, body, and fingerboard have cream binding and there is no pickguard.

ProBucker Humbuckers w/Coil-tapping and Treble Bleed Circuit
The DC PRO is powered by critically acclaimed ProBucker humbucker pickups featuring Alnico II magnets with a ProBucker 2 in the neck position and a ProBucker 3 in the bridge position. The ProBucker 3 is slightly overwound to provide balance with the neck pickup with an added bit of edge for lead work. ProBuckers recreate the sound of hand wound 1950s era "PAF style" pickups. Each pickup also features coil-splitting activated by a push/pull control at each pickup’s Volume knob allowing players an infinite variety of sounds from single-coil bark to full humbucker bite. In addition, each Volume pot has a "Treble Bleed Circuit" which helps to maintain clarity and high-end response as volume is decreased. In a typical volume pot, your tone gets slightly "duller" or "muddy" as you decrease volume. The Treble Bleed Circuit helps select high frequencies "bleed”" into your tone when playing at a lower volume. The circuit is further enhanced by the addition of a Phase reversal feature on the neck Tone push-pull potentiometer.

Classic Epiphone Hardware
The DC PRO features Epiphone's legendary rock-solid hardware including a LockTone Tune-o-matic fully adjustable bridge and LockTone Stopbar tailpiece. And now, Epiphone's patented design auto locks the bridge and tailpiece in place with no tools needed! Epiphone's all-metal toggle switch uses rugged spring-steel contacts to ensure years of reliable service and performance and the standard 1/4 output jack features an improved contact shape and heavy-duty spring steel to increase reliability. Tuning is fast and accurate with Grover machine heads with a 18:1 tuning ratio.

An Epiphone Home Run

I've had 3 Gibson doublecuts- a '58 TV Model (Junior); a '98 DC Pro; and now a '16 Les Paul Special 100. All three have been wonderful instruments, so when I saw Epi coming out with their version, I started researching and waiting. Finally pulled the trigger, and this cherry version is quickly becoming a favorite of the stable, even over my Memphis 335. Fit and finish is surprisingly good, setup out of the box is about a 7 of 10. The only thing I'm looking at so far is raising the neck pickup a bit for more punch. At the string change I'll go to my standard 9 set to see if that make it even better.

"Best Bang for Your Buck"!

I have been playing Gibson guitars for 37+ years. I owned a 1965 Epiphone Casino. My wife owns a 2002 Epiphone Les Paul Standard. I saw this Epiphone DC Pro at Sam Ash Music yesterday and I picked it up and couldn't put it down. I have been searching for a really nice Gibson Les Paul Standard Double Cut Away however even on the "Used" market they are expensive. I know, you get what you pay for. Well, this Epiphone DC Pro for under $600.00 is a fantastic Double Cut Away alternative to the Gibson. I played the Mojave 'Burst and man the whole guitar just felt, played and sounded great. Epiphone truly is making some of their best guitars now in 2019. This Epiphone DC Pro is a tremendous value. I am trying to figure out a way to make this purchase without my wife divorcing me. Ha ha!!! This guitar is so well built I wouldn't change one single thing. Epiphone makes very high quality guitars which are priced fairly and most guitarist's can afford them. Yeah, I will have to by the matching Epiphone guitar case separately but for the price of the guitar so what!?

DC PRO Electric Guitar

Best guitar on the market! I would challenge any highend guitar manufacturer to compare their over priced products to the quality of this guitar!

I have many guitars from many mfrs. Plenty of Gibson's, Epi's, PRS, etc. This DC-Pro is one of my favorite pieces! Fit & Finish is mint! Two FULL reachable octaves! Plays and sounds GREAT! Slight adjustment needed on the bridge, as a bit too high. Since doing that, I truly have zero complaints and MEGA KUDOS to Epi for this model! I got the Mojave Fade, and am planning on buying another in the Midnight Ebony! Thanks Sam Ash Edison NJ and Mark, Tim and the staff for an great easy transaction!

This Epi is a FINE instrument! Try one!

Nice AAA Maple top, Mojave Fade very nice and caught my eye out of the 5 colors. Double cut away always nice, especially when you have a 2 octave possibility! Tuners GREAT! Stays in, needed a bit of a tweak. Perfect intonation after adjustment. Solid, nice neck joint and fretboard with fine inlays. No case is always a bummer, yet at this price point the value of the instrument itself is very nice. Try one if you like or play, Les Paul's, SG's PRS, Strats, etc.
