I've been a gigging guitarist for over 20 years. I've been through numerous guitars during that time, and I eventually settled on Telecasters because of their versatile tone and reasonably comfortable playability. While I always loved the tone of a Les Paul, I thought they were clunky to play, heavy, and ridiculously expensive. I tried modding a Tele to sound like a Les Paul , but it was never right. My desire to have that tone finally got the best of me, so I started searching for that tone in something that wasn't a Les Paul. After many purchases and returns, I bought the Sensei and my search ended. My initial plan was to use the Sensei on about 10-12 songs per night where I thought the bigger humbucker sound would be better than my #1 Tele. But as I used the Sensei, and really started experimenting with that bass contour knob, I started using my Tele less and less. As of right now, my Tele stays home in its case, and the Sensei does the entire gig! This guitar is truly the most versatile guitar I've ever used. And it's much cheaper than a Les Paul, MUCH lighter than a Les Paul, and far more comfortable to play. This ONE guitar replaced all of my others.
