I picked guitar back up after not playing for nearly 50 years and was fortunate to purchase a used Gibson SG at Sam Ash in mint condition, using my 1964 Princeton Amp, started to take lessons at Sam Ash (fabulous - Gavin in Cleveland) and then purchased the Fender 50XL. This is a great amp to use with plenty of power for practice and I am sure for small spaces to gig, And there are plenty of voice and effects options for most people - you can always add more pedals in front of the input. Its easy to use and the amp is a far better choice that the Mustang, my original choice, only because its $125 less and the Mustang has SO many more voices and options than I am capable of using - if I get good enough, I will go buy one !!!
