I'm so happy to have this very spot on pedal board version of the classic and amazing original. I've played many Octavers and there is no alternative to this unique secret weapon. It's not for everyone, as it is very nasty and can be unstable, but it has magic. I participated in the creation of a clone that got very close but this is definitely the genuine article. It's like an instrument itself as you have to kind of play with it like you would voltage controlled effects or feedback. Therefore, it's up to you what amazing sounds you can squeeze out. I use the ringer a lot which adds a ring modulated hint of upper octave. It has a hex fuzz type growl on the lower. You can stabilize it or let it run wild or mix any way you want against octave effects and dry. It's one of a kind.
