Wanted a light weight backup to my SVT3PRO. Sick of lugging a Hartke 3500 around as a backup. Tried the Mesa Subway 800 Plus. Very flat and sterile with no soul. Tried a GK MB800 fusion. Very cardboard midrange heavy. Sounded awful. Bought the PF800 and wondered why I didn't go Ampeg in the first place. And it's half the price of the Mesa or GK.. Classic Ampeg tone, great compressor for a one knob. And the switchable/mixable effects loop is a nice touch. Plenty of clean power.. Now, my SVT3PRO is the backup amp.
