I have played a lot of acoustic but I would still rate myself between novice and intermediate. I wanted to get an electric but could not justify anything too pricey based on my skill level. The Epiphone Les Paul is great because you get the solid build of a Gibson, just not the high end electronics. The amp is a simple practice amp which is perfect for me and anyone else looking for simple playing at home. The volume/equalizers are perfectly adequate for what it is; plus it has the option for headphones. The guitar on its own is almost the same price point as the Player Pack so everything that is included, like the amp, just feels like a bonus. It is ready to play out of the box; you just need to tune it up with the included tuner. I'd recommend this to any beginner, novice or even intermediate player of any age.

I'm a beginner guitar player. That being said, I'm having a lot of fun playing this guitar. Ideally, that's what's it's all about right? Guitar seems solid, stays in tune and looks great. I feel I got a great value with this package.
