With a unique engine that shows off versatility and a number of tonal options, we can really hear how flexible this pedal can be in a number of situations. The Alpha Omicron has many uses and is geared towards bassists looking for a real heavy, biting tone, in the style of djent.

Unique Engine
The Alpha Omicron features a dual-distortion engine that combines both the Alpha and Omega drivers. With the two drives in this unit, you will find intense sounds that give off such a hard bite that will really stand out in a mix, whether it's in a live situation or studio session.

Tonal Options
There are limitless options to experiment with on this Alpha Omicron. The blend option allows you to go between your direct and processed signal. It goes hand-in-hand with the level and drive options which will alter how saturated you would like your signal to be with overdrive. The mod option takes it a step further by switching off between the drives Alpha and Omega. While Alpha provides a stronger cut in a mix giving off a more definitive tone, the Omega is harsh and deep. You can also use the Bite switch and the Growl switch for boosting mids or shelving bass boost depending on whatever tone you're going for.

Flexible Usage
Of course, seeing as this pedal is intended to be a preamplifier for bassists, you will find a lot of use out of it when trying to blend it with an amp. All of the EQ options available on the Alpha Omicron itself will feed off of whatever is running through your amplifier. Essentially, this pedal alone can potentially make your amp sound like a real bone-crusher.

Very satisfied with this pedal, totally worth every cent.

I did quite a bit of research on what pedal I would get and I decided on the Alpha Omicron and when I got the chance to play with it I was still blown away. This is an amazing overdrive pedal that is so fun to mess around with. The only thing that I had a problem with is I didn't realize that when I bought it, it didn't come with a power cable, so I just looked at it longingly for the first few days (which was my own fault for not realizing it). So make sure you grab one or have one before that because trust me, once you have it you will just be aching to use it. #sweepstakes
