The Epiphone limited edition Tommy Thayer Electric Blue Les Paul Outfit is the fourth signature model by Tommy "Spaceman" Thayer, the renowned guitarist for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members KISS. Tommy's Electric Blue Les Paul is powered by Seymour Duncan JB humbuckers and has a classic LP Standard Mahogany body with a Maple cap, Grover Rotomatic 18:1 machine heads, and a stunning Electric Blue finish by custom paint designer Johnny Douglas. An EpiLite case and Certificate of Authenticity are included.

Custom Electric Blue Finish
The Tommy Thayer Electric Blue Les Paul Outfit has a classic Les Paul profile made from Mahogany with a Maple cap and a mirrored pickguard. For the one-of-a-kind Electric Blue finish, Tommy and Epiphone worked with custom paint designer Johnny Douglas—The Man Who Painted Rock and Roll—who has painted instruments for Slash, ZZ Top, and Aerosmith. The hand-set Mahogany neck has a 60s SlimTaper profile with an Indian Laurel fingerboard with trapezoid pearloid inlays. The neck has a 24.75" (629mm) scale, a 12" radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a white Graph Tech nut. The small sloped dovewing headstock has Les Paul Electric Blue in silkscreen while on the back is the KISS "SpaceMan" logo and a reproduction of Tommy Thayer’s signature in silver silkscreen. The nickel truss rod cover has an engraved "Tommy Thayer" signature.

Seymour Duncan JB Humbuckers
To power the Electric Blue Les Paul, Tommy choose two Seymour Duncan JB humbuckers, the original archetype hot-rod humbucker and one of Seymour Duncan's most revered designs. The neck pickup features a nickel covered JB humbucker with a chrome mounting ring while the bridge pickup features an open-coil JB humbucker in Electric Blue. Controls for each pickup's volume and tone have custom Blue Top Hat knobs with pointers along with an Epiphone 3-position toggle switch.

Rock Solid Hardware
The Tommy Thayer Electric Blue Les Paul Outfit comes with nickel hardware including a legendary LockTone ABR bridge and Stopbar tailpiece for superior tuning and intonation along with Grover Rotomatic machine heads with kidney buttons and an 18:1 tuning ratio. A custom hard case and Certificate of Authenticity are also included.

Visually stunning -- it grabs your eye from across the room. I literally have never seen anything like it; not even close. But it also plays great and sounds great. Genuine U.S. Seymour Duncan pickups. And a LAUREL fretboard, which I think adds definition and a little bit of high end. I didn't know who Tommy Thayer was and had to ask the sales guy. It was almost a dealbreaker. Almost, because this guitar is just too good to pass up.

Received this guitar about 2 weeks ago. Incredible blue flawless finish. The pickups sound great and the setup that came on the guitar was very nice. The nut needed a little cleaning up but other than that it was ready to rock right out of the box.
